Thats an interesting point about volunteers, I am definitely travelling with the EU guidelines next time I fly anywhere!

And yes I will update you on the other couple, it can't be too difficult to get AF to admit they were on the plane and then they should be offered the same compensation.

I did say I would post back about the other couple on our flight that AF initially denied made the flight.

AF have now admitted they were on the flight and have (without referring back to them) sent vouchers for the set specified amount. The couple have written back to AF quoting the required sections of the EU regulation stating cash must be offered and vouchers can only be offered when everyone is in agreement.

I will keep you posted on what the reply is
